Futurecop! + Ghosthustler + Johnny Bravvo

Long time, no blog. My bad. I’d like to say that I got out in the real world and accomplished remarkable things, but we all know that’d be an outlandish lie. Y’all remember the dude DJ Johnny Bravvo? Remember his Kind of a Big Deal mix (see: below)? Well, the lad hooked me up with a gig at Austin’s Pure Ultra Lounge. In the words of a friend, it’s the kind of place where people “like it when a song tells them what to do.” Which some DJs may not like, but I thoroughly enjoyed. Once I got over the fact that my CDJs were on a relatively thin surface with nothing (other than friction) to keep them from plummeting three stories if nudged, I had a blast. And for an unmixed tune we look in Futurecop!’s (that can’t be grammatically correct) general direction. Texan boys Ghosthustler (Denton, no less) remixed “Transformers,” and it’s quite lovely. Chill and whatnot. In the words of Big Stereo bro Jad, “This reminds me why I wanted to buy a talkbox.” So without further ado:
