Mad Many SXSW Tunes

In case y’all don’t know, the ever-incredible SXSW goes down in just a shade over a month. What’s more, the festival just announced its official showcases. And it just so happens that they posted up a boatload of tracks to convince y’all that rolling through Austin really is a good idea. Which of course means that now I can post up a bunch of tunes I otherwise would’ve gotten take down notices for. So here goes:

First up is the upcoming single from “Keys n Krates.” And though this track does glorious things to Lionel Richie’s bit of genius, an .mp3 simply can’t clue a listener into the greatness that is Keys ‘n’ Krates – check their YouTube channel to see what’s really up.

Next up is the Valentine’s Day song of the century: Le Le’s “Breakfast.” Everyone and their dog’s seen the video for the cut, but listening to it sans visual stimulation really forces the listener to key in on the lyrics. Which are, of course, incredible. Seriously. This here is pure, unadulterated lust.

And then of course there’s Radioclit. Not really sure what there is to say about this effort. Most everyone knows what they’re getting themselves into when dabbling with a bit of Radioclit: you’re sure to hear a sample or two that you recognize alongside a handful of elements that are both entirely foreign and pleasing to your ears.

And last of all (or at least wrapping up the songs I’ll be rambling about) is Beach House’s “Gila.” I understand that this here tune came about a year or so ago, but I didn’t have the pleasure of running across it until early December. And I can say without hesitation that it’s been my most-played song since. There’s nothing in this world that I’d rather hear while doing a good bit of winter driving.
