The Shoes Remix Mystery Jets – Beauty Results

When we posted the Mystery Jets’ “Young Love” way back when, the proverbial crowd went wild. It’s a lovely lil’ gem of a song (thus affirming that a good band backed by good producer – in this case Erol Alan – leads to great things) and the Panda Toes masses (all ten or twelve of you) couldn’t seem to keep it out of their minds.
And now we’ve got an equally exciting remix of said track courtesy of the Shoes. I’ve been rocking it for a bit thinking it wasn’t cleared for posting, but I saw it up on Pinglewood and, since they’re the responsible sort that don’t just throw up heaps of illegal cuts, readied myself for the throngs of emails I’ll certainly be getting from adoring M.J. fans who simply fawn over this song.
There isn’t too much of a dance vibe here. I mean it’s certainly going to make you prance about giddily, but more so in an I’m-an-indie-Cindy-who-digs-doggy-paddling sort of way than an I’m-a-hipster-that-thrashes-to-bangers manner. The vocals are ace, percussion is simple yet engaging, and the instrumentals are subtly electronic. If any of that makes sense. The point of the story is that this isn’t a track to miss.
